Last Friday, October 22nd, 2010, halcyon the shop hosted a private reception for In On the Secret, a rare solo show by graffiti-world staple EWOK ONE. Friends and family in attendance got a first look at the amazing array of multi-media artwork on display while Tony Starks, *Ahhem* (meaning EWOK ONE) played host and halcyon’s own Liondub held down the sounds with a deft set bursting with ’90s classics.
The evening featured a special impromptu guest appearance by DJ DPone who, after digging some classics from the bins, just couldn’t help but hop on the decks. The night was scheduled to end at 10pm, but no one wanted to bounce so the good times rolled on into the wee hours. If this special event went by without your knowing, fret not as the work will be on display in the shop’s gallery through Dec. 9th so make it your priority to swing on by the shop and peep it in person.
